When feeding any treats, the daily feeding amount needs to be reduced proportionately. For raw food/treats like sprats the daily feeding guideline is 2-3% of their bodyweight if feeding raw alone. So for a 10Kg dog that would be 0.2-0.3Kg per day. In this example we'll take an average of 0.25Kg or 250g. Each sprat weighs approximately 14g. We need to work out what proportion the 14g sprats are versus the 250g daily feed. 14/250=0.056 we therefore need to reduce the daily feed by 5.6%. An easy way to work this out is to multiple the daily feed by the remainder i.e. 100%-5.6%=94.4%. 0.944*250=236g raw or 0.944*145=137g dry. Those are the reduced daily feeding amounts. 145 in this example is the daily recommended feed for a 10Kg Moderate Activity Adult Dog. If you substitute your dog's weight, daily feed and weight of treats in this example it will give you a guide as to how much to reduce the daily feed by.
